Registered Nurse Scrub Scout
Location: Gold Coast

Hours: You will work morning and afternoon shifts across a 7-day roster and be available to participate in the on-call roster.
Salary: Registered Nurses $37.04 - $47.76 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances

Our client operates a private acute care hospital located on the southern end of the Gold Coast and is a major employer of professional and non-professional people within the area.

  
About this opportunity
  
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse, and Shift Leaders, this exciting new opportunity will see the Registered Nurse Scrub Scout, working with a professional team who work within a wide range of surgical specialties - these include Cardiac, Upper and lower Orthopaedic, Robotic, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, General, Plastics, and ENT.

  
Your Day-to-Day responsibilities would include
As a Registered Nurse Scrub Scout, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse, and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered within the ward.

You will be responsible for will assessing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating the care delivery needs of each patient individual needs. Our client's team prides itself on exceeding a high standard of care with a professional and positive attitude by creating a friendly, caring, and comfortable environment for its patients.
  
  
What you will need to apply
To be successful in this role you will bring a strong clinical skillset with specialty experience as a Scrub Scout and acute care environments. You will be a positive and effective team player who brings excellent clinical and interpersonal skills. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage your time effectively to meet your responsibilities.
 
You will also demonstrate;
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse,
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in an acute surgical team as a Scrub Scout,
  • Scrub scout experience in the above-mentioned specialties will be highly regards
  • Orthopaedic scrub scout experience will be highly regarded
  • Knowledge of current legislation and policies relating to nursing practice in the workplace,
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work as a cohesive team member,
  • Any relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded.
