About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic Health Service Manager with Nurse Manager experience in A&E, Triage, Generalist, and ALS to join our client's team on a 3-month contract.
This role combines management and clinical duties to drive quality patient outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities:

Manage nursing and midwifery services, driving service improvements and cultural change.
Clinical Role:
Backfill in the Emergency Department as needed.
Staff Management:
Recruit, retain, and develop nursing staff to meet patient needs.
Policy Development:
Implement effective policies and strategic plans.
Performance Management:
Monitor and manage key performance indicators.

Key Relationships:
  • Provide information to management on service provision.
  • Report on operational and clinical matters.
  • Lead discussions and make decisions with health service staff.
  • Manage media relations and collaborate with local organisations.
Selection Criteria:
  • Current AHPRA nursing registration (preferably as a midwife).
  • Recent clinical competency in Emergency Department and triage.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Management/Leadership (or working towards).
  • Proven leadership skills in conflict resolution, negotiation, and staff motivation.
  • Ability to function as part of a senior management team.
  • Broad clinical and operational management expertise.
  • Successful financial management experience.
  • Understanding of public hospitals' role and funding in NSW and Australia.
  • Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination compliance.
  • Up-to-date AHPRA nursing registration.
  • Current NSW WWCC clearance (or APP number for out-of-state applicants).
  • Current National Police Check clearance.
  • Up-to-date immunisations as per NSW requirements.
  • Be available to start immediately
