Salary in the region of $65k per annum
Full time, permanent

Paul at Carejobz is looking for a coordinator, with a minimum of one year’s NZ clinical experience, to run a team of clinical support workers that care for a client with complex and challenging psychological needs.

In this coordinator role, you will be leading a team of 5 to 6 clinical support workers and would be responsible for:

  • Recruiting the team and managing the rosters to ensure your client has round the clock care 24/7.
  • Ensuring that regular communication between yourself, the care team, and your client occurs – both phone calls and visits.
  • Building and developing care plans that can be used by support workers to ensure the delivery of the highest quality of care to the clients.
  • Compiling incident and risk management reports as and when needed.
  • Problem-solving with your client and caregivers to ensure that all parties are satisfied with the level of service provided.

This is a great chance to make a real difference in somebody’s quality of life. It is a challenging, but hugely rewarding role., so I am looking for an experienced person who is both thick-skinned and empathetic at the same time.

The Coordinator role can be based from home and would have weekly meetings face to face with your client and every 5 weeks there would be a team meeting on Friday and Saturday. You could be based anywhere between Whangarei and Hamilton and this would work and you may well be coming from nursing, OT, mental health or social work background.

To excel in this unique position you will need to be the type of coordinator that:
Is very process driven
Always follows through on something, no matter how small
Possess excellent time management skills
Practice a thorough reporting process
Methodical and gets it right the first time
Very patient and empathetic

This is not a role for shrinking violets, it is essential that you have worked within a complex needs environment and preferably on a one-to-one client basis and know how to mentor your team in this also to ensure that an excellent standard of high-quality care is delivered at all times.
